Personal Styling Myths Debunked: Week 4 - “I Don’t Have Time to Be Stylish”

Myth: Styling takes too much time, and I’m too busy.
Truth: Being stylish doesn’t have to mean spending hours in front of your closet each morning. With a few simple strategies, you can look fabulous in no time at all! Here's how to make it work for you:

  • Create a Wardrobe Plan: Setting aside a few minutes each week to plan your outfits can save you tons of time. I recommend building a weekly outfit calendar—just pick out your looks in advance so your morning routine is stress-free.

  • Go for the Essentials: Have a few "go-to" outfits that work for multiple occasions. A chic blazer, a versatile pair of jeans, and neutral tops are great for mixing and matching without needing to think about it.

  • Prep the Night Before: Take five minutes in the evening to pick your outfit for the next day. This simple step can make your mornings easier and help you get out the door quickly.

  • Use Time-Saving Tools: My Outfit Calendar service is a game-changer for clients who want to streamline their wardrobe and save time. A pre-planned calendar of outfits means you’ll never have to worry about what to wear again!

Pro Tip: Styling doesn’t mean spending hours shopping or organizing. You can keep it simple, effective, and still look amazing—because your style should work for you, not the other way around.

Jenn’s Personal Thoughts:

I hear the “I don’t have time to be stylish” myth all the time, but I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be complicated! Taking a simple outfit, like a top and pants or a skirt, and adding a few accessories can make a huge difference. A necklace, brooch, and earrings are all quick ways to elevate your look without spending extra time.

I’ve also recently purchased several belts, and let me tell you—they really do add something special to an outfit! Whether it’s a structured look or a boho vibe, a well-chosen belt can pull everything together in seconds. These are all simple, easy additions that will really take your outfit to the next level with minimal effort.

Remember, style doesn’t have to be time-consuming. It’s about those little details that make you feel confident and polished!

How to Incorporate More Color into Your Wardrobe in 2025

Are you ready to add a burst of color to your wardrobe in 2025? Whether you're looking to brighten your outfits or simply refresh your look, color is the perfect way to do it. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing simple and effective ways to incorporate more color into your everyday style. From accessories to patterns, these tips will help you feel confident experimenting with color—one step at a time. Let’s make this year your most vibrant and stylish yet!

1. Start Small with Accessories

One of the easiest ways to add color to your outfits without feeling overwhelmed is through accessories. Think scarves, handbags, shoes, or jewelry. A bright scarf or a pair of colorful shoes can completely change the vibe of a neutral outfit. Start with subtle pops of color and gradually build your way up.

2. Experiment with Color Pairing

Don’t be afraid to mix and match different colors! Start by pairing complementary colors (like blue and orange or red and green) or analogous colors (such as various shades of blue and purple). If you’re new to color pairing, try starting with a neutral base (like black, white, or denim) and add a bright color in the form of a top or jacket. It’s all about balancing your colors and finding what feels right for you.

Start the Year Right: Time for a Bra Fitting & New Shapewear!

January is the perfect time to start fresh—especially when it comes to your undergarments! A bra fitting ensures you’re wearing the right size and gives you the support and comfort you need to feel confident all year long. It’s amazing what the right fit can do for your posture, comfort, and overall style.

While you’re at it, don’t forget to replace your shapewear! Over time, shapewear loses its elasticity and effectiveness, so now is a great time to invest in a new piece that flatters and smooths your silhouette.

My favorite place for a bra fitting and shapewear is Soma. They offer personalized fittings and a great selection of bras and shapewear that will keep you feeling your best all year long.

Start the year with the right foundation—your confidence will thank you!
