I saw this on Facebook last week and put it on my social media pages. I thought it would be a fun way to get conversation going. Email me your answers and I will put them in next week's newsletter.
I answered on all my pages with a different interesting item. I had a shoehorn, buckeye, pocket wrench and a Round Tuit for when someone says they will get that done when then get a "round to it". I have one to hand them.
I can't wait to hear what item you have!
Fall is the time for football games and tailgating parties. What do you want to wear to look stylish and still support your favorite team. Look below to see some great options.
We all know that first impressions matter, and they can happen in the most unexpected places. Last night, while waiting for my takeout at Chipotle, I observed some outfits that made me think about how important our appearance is, even for quick errands.
One woman in front of me was wearing sweatpants that were too short and a baggy t-shirt. Sure, she was just picking up her order to go, but what if I were a future employer? I’ve already formed an impression of her, and it made me wonder how she would represent my company.
Another lady in line had a tied-up tee and very short shorts, paired with socks and Crocs. While I appreciate the comfort of Crocs (I wear them occasionally), the overall look didn’t convey professionalism or confidence.
So how can you dress easily and quickly for errands while still making a positive impression? Here are a few tips:
Choose Versatile Basics: A well-fitting pair of jeans, a chic cardigan, or a classic tee can go a long way. These pieces are easy to throw on while still looking put-together.
Accessorize Smartly: Adding simple accessories, like a statement necklace or a stylish scarf, can elevate even the most casual outfit.
Opt for Comfortable Footwear: Sneakers can be stylish too! Choose a pair that complements your outfit and keeps you comfortable.
Mind the Fit: Make sure your clothes fit well. Even casual wear can look polished if it’s the right size.
Plan Ahead: If you know you have errands to run, take a moment to plan your outfit. A little preparation can save you time and help you feel more confident.
Remember, how you present yourself says a lot about you, no matter where you are. Let’s make those quick trips count!
